Products Workshop About Contact

Not slides. Working time.

These workshops are structured working sessions, not presentations. The goal at the end of the day is for your team to have something tangible — a governance framework, a build standard draft, a support model, a decision matrix — not just a set of notes and action items nobody will follow up on.

Every session is tailored to your environment. That means your platform (System Platform, FactoryTalk, InTouch, or similar), your team composition (mixed IT and OT, or one side alone), and the specific problem you're trying to solve.

Facilitator has delivered AVEVA System Platform, Wonderware, and FactoryTalk training and implementations across FMCG and medical device environments.

Choose a focus area — or combine them for a full-day session.

A

SCADA Governance Setup

Define ownership, accountability, access control, and change process for your OT platform — in a format your team will actually maintain. Covers responsibility matrices, decision escalation, change advisory for OT assets, and user account governance.

Output: Governance framework draft tailored to your environment and team structure.

Best For IT teams who've recently taken on SCADA responsibility. Teams preparing for an audit or incident review. Environments where IT and OT ownership is unclear or contested.
B

Platform Build Standards & Configuration Baseline

Define what a correctly configured SCADA node looks like — OS baseline, software configuration, naming conventions, application structure. Build a standard your team can use to audit existing nodes and deploy new ones consistently.

Output: Draft build standard and configuration baseline document for your platform.

Best For Multi-site operations with inconsistent platform builds. Teams preparing for an upgrade or migration. Environments where "it depends who set it up" is the current answer to configuration questions.
C

Security Boundary Definition

Work through the security domains in your OT environment and define who owns what — antivirus, GPO, firewall rules, network zone boundaries, remote access. Build a defensible position that IT and OT can both sign off on.

Output: Security responsibility matrix, antivirus exclusion policy draft, and network zone ownership document.

Best For Teams where security hardening is creating production conflicts. Environments undergoing a security audit or OT security assessment. IT teams trying to extend enterprise security controls into OT without breaking operations.
D

IT/OT Support Model Design

Define how IT support processes interact with OT incident management. Cover ticket routing, escalation paths, priority classification for OT events, on-call and out-of-hours arrangements, and the points where IT and OT handover to each other.

Output: Support model document with escalation matrix and OT-specific priority classification.

Best For IT teams whose ITSM process doesn't account for OT urgency. Mixed IT/OT environments with recurring friction about who handles what. Organisations implementing a formal ITSM tool (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) that needs to cover OT.
E

OT Literacy for IT Teams

A structured session for IT engineers and managers who are new to OT environments or taking on SCADA responsibilities. Covers OT fundamentals, platform architecture, how priorities and culture differ from IT, and how to build credibility with automation teams from the start.

Output: Shared vocabulary, practical understanding of OT constraints, and a team that can ask the right questions.

Best For IT teams who've been assigned OT responsibility and need to get up to speed quickly. IT managers preparing staff for a move into OT support. Mixed teams where IT/OT knowledge gaps are creating friction.
Step 01

Initial Conversation

We talk through what your team is dealing with, what platforms you're running, and what a successful outcome looks like. This shapes the session agenda — no generic slides.

Step 02

Tailored Agenda

I put together a session outline based on your situation. You review it, we align on the focus areas, and we agree on what the team will walk away with.

Step 03

Workshop Delivery

Half-day (4 hours) or full-day (7 hours), virtual via Teams/Zoom or on-site. Working session format — we build, define, and document in the room, not in a follow-up that never happens.

Step 04

Outputs & Follow-up

Session outputs (framework drafts, policy documents, decision matrices) are cleaned up and delivered within a few days. Optional 30-minute follow-up call to review and answer implementation questions.
